Unlimited Care – Assisted Living Cottages has announced the recent expansion into the Kingwood area. Complemented by the homes currently in Spring (near The Woodlands) and Cypresswood neighborhoods , the new assisted living cottage in Kingwood will offer the concept of a unique alternative to larger, more traditional assisted living communities or nursing homes for families in need of care for an aging parent or relative.

Unlimited Care – Assisted Living Cottages are individual one-story residential care homes that range in size from 2,500 to 3,800 square feet. Each home accommodates private rooms and companion rooms. Care is provided by full-time, live-in direct care partners, resulting in one of the highest staff-to-resident ratios in the industry – all within a cozy, home setting.

Care is provided to residents whose needs range from highly-capable to needing assistance with activities of daily living, to stroke, dementia, memory care, and end-of-life hospice care.

The new Kingwood cottage has approximately 3,800 square feet with six private bedrooms, two companion or shared rooms, and large bathrooms. It is located in the neighborhood of Forest Cove Estates, near the Kingwood Country Club.

Buck Buckholtz and his wife, Terri, have owned and operated Unlimited Care – Assisted Living Cottages since 1998. Together they possess over 25 years combined experience in healthcare and management.

They have been serving families from the Kingwood, Texas area in the assisted living cottages near The Woodlands and Cypresswood, so they decided to bring their services to Kingwood, Texas to meet that demand locally.

Assisted living cottage residents enjoy home-cooked meals in the kitchen and sitting out on the front and back porches. They can also participate in activities, such as music therapy and gardening and they have access to volunteer services, house call physician services, hospice, and home health services. Other services, such as hair and nail care, are also provided for the residents.

Unlimited Care – Assisted Living Cottages features private bedrooms that can be personalized with a resident’s favorite furnishings and mementos and most residents have their own recliner chair in the common living room.

Unlimited Care – Assisted Living Cottages have a registered nurse on staff to supervise and provide coordination of care for the residents. Additionally, each direct care partner is well trained to provide assistance with bathing, dressing, medication, meals and other activities of daily living.
