Our Assisted Living Personal Care Cottages

Our assisted living cottages located in Spring, The Woodlands, and Kingwood, Texas all started out as a standard residential home and then we updated and remodeled them to provide a dignified and humane care setting for no more than seven guests with two care providers who live-in with our guests.

Because of the small size of our assisted living cottages, compared to a large nursing home, we are able to serve and specialize in a higher acuity type of care.

Our personal care assisted living cottage may be the perfect option for your family if…you don’t want to live in a larger facility and would like your loved one in a home, if you currently need more care than can be provided in their home, and if you are looking for a family to love your family. We provide only LIVE-IN Direct Care Providers to care for our guest…the advantages are the continuity of care, greater awareness, truly knowing the guests we are serving, realizing the slightest change of condition.

We believe we have the Highest (Staff) Direct Care Provider ratio in the assisted living market with two to seven and when you factor in our lvn and our director of family services it gets even better, Most of our direct care partners are either a cna or hha or the equivalent based on years of care.

Because of our intimate setting we can spend more time with each of our guests and design a specific plan of care for each one. Each cottage has five bedrooms with private bedrooms, and shared (companion rooms ) with two bath rooms, kitchen, den, dinning, breakfast area, laundry, garage with approx 2500 sq feet…

We provide care in a home…not a home like setting…not a place like home… we are a home at the start and we have added what is need to deliver the care to your loved one…like converting the bath rooms, adding locks to cabinets for medications, fire protection sprinkler systems and dedicated fire alarms. We have widened doorways, roll in showers, ada accessible and standard brinks alarms for safety.

We encourage our families to bring in all their mementos, keepsakes and things that are precious to them and decorate their rooms to taste as they would in their own home… most guests will bring their favorite chair or recliner for the den which is where most will spend their time. We often say…this is your Mom and/or Dad,s home and we are simply a guest in their home.

The personal care assisted living cottage is probably very close to what our guests lived in with their own family which is why it feels so cozy.

We also do our best to select the right assisted living cottage for the right guest to make it the best possible fit.
